Yes, it’s true, increased oxygen will make your hair grow faster. One great way to get long healthy hair is to put on your sneakers and go for a walk. Even just 30 minutes of exercise a day can start to circulate blood flow throughout your entire body (including your scalp). Oxygen deficiency in your blood will weaken hair follicles over time leading to more hair loss and the need of frequent trims at the salon. 2. A Good Prenatal Vitamin

Not just for pregnant women, prenatal vitamins do wonders for the thickness and shine of your hair! Whenever someone comes to me and asks what they can do to start growing long healthy hair, a good multivitamin is the first thing I recommend. My absolute favorite brand, which I feel is most effective, is the Rainbow Light Prenatal One Vegan Guard vitamin. We’ve all heard it before, protein helps your hair grow long and strong! One way to include more protein into your diet is to consume more legumes. Lentils, chickpeas, and black beans are great to add into any meal and combined with whole grains provide the perfect intake of essential amino acids your body needs. 4. Only Wash Your Roots

I’m always puzzled by the fact that women feel the need to suds their entire head of hair into a pile atop their head. This is not only incredibly drying to the hair but very unnecessary. The only place our hair becomes greasy or dirty is the roots. That being said, when you shower focus on shampooing the hair starting from the roots and stopping towards the ear area and nape of neck. Don’t worry about the rest of the length because as you rinse the shampoo, it will run over the remainder of your hair while cleansing it at the same time. In addition, try to limit hair washes to every other day, and start to utilize the “cool blast” button on your hair dryer! 5. Water, Water, Water!

Think of your hair as a flower and make believe everything you drink or eat is the nourishment to make that flower as bright and beautiful as it can be! Proper water consumption is vital for the hydration and plumpness of the hair strands. You need to guzzle down enough H20 each day to meet your body’s daily requirements. Doing so will supercharge the cells in your body that drive hair growth! Not only will increased water intake prevent dryness but it will help the over all appearance and genetic length of you hair.
